Security Patrol Officer (1st Shift)

Job Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and secure environment for hotel guests and associates by patrolling the property and monitoring surveillance cameras.
• Patrol and inspect property to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal activity.
• Maintain order and security by monitoring entrances and exits through the use of security camera systems.
• Greet and assist guests, visitors, and tenants as needed.
• Lock and unlock doors, including manual overhead doors and large access gates, as required.
• Observe and report violations of hotel policy and law, and deter criminal activity or other problems through visual presence and intervention.
• Complete incident reports with accurate information and in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Pass a background check before an offer is made.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of security experience.
• Show good judgment and common sense, be able to follow directions and directives from supervisors, accurately recount situations witnessed, and follow company policy and guidelines.
• Show professional appearance and the ability to interact with the public.
• Show excellent verbal and written abilities to document violations or suspicious behavior.
• Show ability to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other dangerous incidents.
• Show keen eye for detail.
• Be able to walk for long periods of time.
