Security Operations Specialist - 250 Days

About the role

The Security Operations Specialist works in the Security Operations Center (SOC) and is responsible for executing the emergency communication process during emergencies and incident response. This position manages a high volume of radio and telephone communications to foster situational awareness and facilitate PWCS incident management operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, receive, interpret, and relay information between school administration, PWCS Central Office, anonymous tip lines, alarm companies, appropriate staff, the Prince William County Department of Public Safety Communications, and the public.
• Execute emergency communication processes during incidents and emergencies.

Requirements

• Considered an essential position requiring the ability to report to work during poor weather conditions or other emergencies.
• Non-traditional work schedule including rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

This position performs work under the supervision of the SOC administrative coordinator.
