Security Operations Engineer

About the role

The Security Operations Engineer will be responsible for monitoring security systems, responding to alerts, and maintaining a secure environment. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and respond to alerts in a timely manner
• Perform incident response and triage
• Implement and maintain security policies and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity operations or a related field
• Experience with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools
• Knowledge of network security principles and practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• CISSP certification preferred
• Experience with cloud-based security solutions
• Hands-on experience with security automation tools

Skills

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
• Experience with threat hunting and incident response
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
