About the role
The Security Operations Center (GSOC) Supervisor will manage day-to-day SOC operations, including quality checks, incident management, scheduling, gap analysis, project work, and program buildout. As the SOC expert and shift supervisor, you will ensure all deliverables are completed in a timely and high-quality manner while maintaining clear command and control of SOC activities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the quality of work performed by SOC Operators, conduct regular audits, and provide feedback and coaching to improve performance.
- Establish and maintain positive client relationships, ensuring professional communication and timely resolution of concerns.
- Attend GSOC meetings, generate meeting notes, and represent the SOC in assigned meetings.
- Manage assigned projects from inception to completion, ensuring deliverables meet client and Crisis24 standards.
- Continuously evaluate and improve SOC processes to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide support and guidance to employees on personal issues impacting work performance while maintaining privacy.
- Review and implement procedural updates suggested by Operators, ensuring proper training and communication.
- Arrange coverage for sick leave or staffing absences and maintain proper documentation.
- Investigate and follow up on client-reported "misses," ensuring corrective actions are documented and implemented.
- Supervise operators delivering services and support, including risk assessments, escalations, and metrics reporting.
- Assist in emergency response coordination, critical equipment checks, and distribution of communications to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (required); Master’s degree (preferred).
- 3–5+ years of leadership experience in security operations, SOC environments, or related fields.
- Interest or experience in intelligence, security operations, critical incident management, corporate security, or emergency management.
- Proficiency in current technologies, open-source search methodologies, Microsoft Suite, and Google Suite.
- Willingness to sign an NDA and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism under stress.
- Adaptability to dynamic situations and demonstrated organizational/time management skills.
- Successful client management experience and effective conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to maintain composure when dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public under pressure.
- Flexibility to attend training, meetings, or shifts outside normal work hours (evenings, nights, weekends).
- Ability to work 8–12-hour shifts, including days and nights.
