Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or guests by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government tourism location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public areas, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness through strong customer service and communication.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Skills

• Security experience is preferred.
• Customer service skills are preferred.
