Security Officer - Weekend Days

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Peoria, AZ, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This is a part-time position with a weekend daytime schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, data and equipment spaces, parking areas, entry points, and the property perimeter to identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-related concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; follow emergency response procedures and notify appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
