Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol Vehicle Driver in Terre Haute, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a driving patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This role combines customer service, communication, and leadership presence while supporting daily operations.
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities when needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, access control, and other security-related concerns.
- Monitor activity at the location and assist with access control, crowd management, and policy enforcement during daily operations, peak shopping periods, and special events.
- Support a professional environment by providing directions, answering questions, and communicating clearly with tenants, shoppers, vendors, and management regarding security-related matters.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
