Job Description
As a Security Officer Vehicle Patrol and Access Control in York, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal as a driving patrol officer at a dynamic automotive location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming atmosphere through strong customer service and communication.
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing and operations location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, parking lots, shipping and receiving zones, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access, verify approved entry, and report maintenance, traffic, and/or operational issues observed during patrols.
- Support site operations by following post orders, preparing incident reports, and assisting with security-related requests in a professional manner during varying shifts and conditions.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
