Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol

About the role

As a Part-Time Vehicle Patrol Security Officer in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Utilities. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and provide customer service to deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and utility personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and report observations.
• Monitor access to assigned locations, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security-related activities.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$22.50 per hour.

Schedule

• Monday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
