About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government healthcare location in New York, NY, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, patient, and staff directions in accordance with facility procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.87 - $18.87 per hour.
