Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or first responders as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, parking areas, entrances, administrative spaces, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor access points and public areas, report suspicious behavior and/or unattended items, and follow post orders related to restricted areas, visitor activity, and after-hours access.
- Support Allied Universal standards by maintaining a professional presence, providing directions and assistance to the public, and completing required reports and logs in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A handcuffing certification is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
