About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use communication and customer service skills to help address security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial engineering location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21+ years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
