As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Threat Detection in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, exterior areas, parking locations, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate records in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly professional environment by reporting maintenance concerns, access-control issues, and other security-related conditions to site leadership.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour
