About the role
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol (Security Clearance Badge Verification) in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as aerospace and defense. This part‑time position allows you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the “Claim a Shift” platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, support access control and badge processes, provide exceptional customer service, and help maintain a secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site‑specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel when needed.
- Maintain awareness of changing site conditions and report security‑related concerns, hazards, and policy violations according to established procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 2 years of security‑related experience.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Guard card or license preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Access control and badge experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21 + for armed roles).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Drug screening as permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.
- Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Daytime – Friday 10:45 PM – 06:45 AM; Saturday 10:45 PM – 06:45 AM
