About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Observer in Cohoes, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as financial institutions. This part-time role allows you to build a flexible schedule and explore new opportunities using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, respond to security concerns, and provide professional customer service while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and caring culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, lobbies, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
- Complete detailed activity reports and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal considers qualified applicants with criminal histories consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements vary by state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
