Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver Badge Services

About the role

Allied Universal is seeking a Part‑Time Unarmed Patrol Driver for Badge Services at a technology data center in Sterling, VA. The position involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, supporting access control activities, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of data center facilities, access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and document access‑related observations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles).
• Background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
• Access control and badge experience (preferred).
• CPR certification (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).

Pay

$26.06 per hour.

Schedule

Daytime shifts: Saturday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM; Sunday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
