What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and/or public agency personnel as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access points and observe site activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, policy violations, and/or other concerning conditions.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and unusual observations, and communicate with supervisors and/or designated personnel regarding security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
