Security Officer Unarmed Patrol - Distribution Site

About the role

Apart from serving and safeguarding clients in logistics and distribution sites, you will also contribute to a culture that positively impacts the communities and customers we serve. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, dock doors, trailer yards, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor the movement of people, vehicles, and/or deliveries entering and leaving the location, helping to verify compliance with site access procedures and reporting discrepancies.
• Support day-to-day operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with security-related inquiries, and reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contact.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses required may vary based on state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
