As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Diploma Required in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
Communicate professionally with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations, incidents, and operational needs.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
