Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Checkpoint Support

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Checkpoint Support in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist visitors and staff with professionalism. You will use communication and customer service skills to report concerns and help maintain an orderly environment.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a healthcare-related medical technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, shipping and receiving areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrol findings, incidents, access-related events, and shift handoffs

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred
• CPR certification is preferred
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred

Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour
Schedule: Monday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Tuesday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Wednesday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Saturday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Sunday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
