About the role
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Colorado Springs, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and follow site procedures for access control, deliveries, and property-related concerns.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
