Responsibilities
- Perform interior and exterior security patrols on foot and/or in a vehicle throughout the data center campus
- Control access to the facility by verifying credentials and ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted areas
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and other security technology to identify and respond to potential security threats
- Investigate security incidents, suspicious activity, and policy violations; prepare accurate and detailed incident reports
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and other incidents in accordance with established procedures
- Deter criminal activity, misconduct, and unauthorized access through a visible security presence
- Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify safety hazards or security concerns
- Maintain awareness of site-specific procedures and perform all duties outlined in post orders
- Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors
- Communicate effectively with site leadership, emergency responders, and Allied Universal management when necessary
Qualifications (must Have)
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A current driver's license if operating a company- or customer-owned vehicle
- At least 18 years of age, or higher if required by state law
- Two (2) years of verifiable work experience in customer service, security, military, law enforcement, corrections, or a related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergency situations
- A strong attention to detail and observational skills
- The ability to write clear, accurate, and detailed reports
- The ability to operate computers, CCTV systems, radios, telephones, and other security equipment
Preferred Qualifications (nice To Have)
- Previous experience in a data center, critical infrastructure, or other high-security environment
- A current CPR, First Aid, or AED certification
- Experience with access control systems, badge management, and security operations centers (SOC)
- Military, law enforcement, or corrections experience
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or a related field
- Experience working in a customer-facing professional environment
