About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location in San Jose, CA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist visitors and transit personnel, and communicate clearly with onsite teams. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to transit agency passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicles, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
- Assist with access control, visitor direction, and monitoring of authorized entry points in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while maintaining professional communication with transit personnel and the public.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$24.90 / Hour

- Day shift: Monday–Wednesday, 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
