Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Access Registration

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a corporate technology office location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
