Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Control

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a healthcare location in Orlando, FL, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, manage access control, and provide professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Use computer or tablet systems to document activity and communicate clearly while working collaboratively with a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site and Allied Universal procedures.
Requirements
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$17.53 / hour
Schedule
- Position Type: Full Time
- Day shift: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM, Monday through Friday
