About the role

As a Security Officer (Unarmed) – Part Time in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries. The position offers flexible scheduling through the “Claim a Shift” platform, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you while gaining experience in various security environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter security‑related incidents.
• Support a welcoming environment for staff and visitors by providing professional customer service.
• Conduct routine and random patrols of the business premises and perimeter.
• Observe, document, and report activity, responding to security‑related concerns in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Perform emergency response activities and follow site‑specific security procedures when appropriate.
• Adapt to varying working environments and conditions depending on the client site.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Experience with access control and badge systems (preferred).
• CPR certification (preferred).
• Alarm panel experience (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Eligibility for a drug screen, where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

$24.65 per hour

• Saturday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Sunday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
