Security Officer Unarmed Part Time Afternoons

About the Role

As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You’ll work in a dynamic, customer-focused environment, conducting routine patrols, monitoring access points, and assisting employees and visitors with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter, reporting irregularities or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with entry processes, and escalate concerns to site contacts or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, document observations, and follow reporting protocols.
• Help deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence, attention to site conditions, and timely communication of security-related concerns.

Qualifications

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Requirements

• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
