About the role

As a Security Officer Driving Role Patrol in Harrisonburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with campus contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, residence areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, check credentials when required, and assist with visitor directions, escorts, and general questions in support of daily campus operations.
• Support security-related response efforts for alarms, medical calls, weather-related events, and/or other campus concerns while following post orders and communication protocols.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
