Security Officer Unarmed Overnights

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, road access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify access permissions as directed by site policy, and document security-related events, observations, and/or incidents in written reports.
• Support emergency response activities, traffic and pedestrian coordination, and other post orders as assigned based on location needs and working conditions.

Requirements

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• CPR certification.
• Customer service experience.
