Security Officer Unarmed Hospital Foot Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related needs with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and traffic flow as assigned while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare environment.

Requirements

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
