About the role
As a Security Officer Unarmed - Entrance Access in Moncks Corner, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support badge-related processes. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, check credentials as required, and document the entry and exit of employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and request appropriate support when needed.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff documentation, and promptly report maintenance, access-control, and other security-related concerns to site leadership.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
