Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, manage visitor processing, and document access activity in support of site access requirements.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to restricted areas, gates, and other access points where security-related concerns may arise.
- Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards that could impact personnel, property, or operations, helping to support a professional and orderly location.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A TSA issued TWIC is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
