About the role
As a Security Officer Unarmed Driver Badge Verification in Wyandotte, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a chemical/petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unauthorized access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements.
- Report observed hazards, equipment concerns, policy violations, and unusual conditions to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
