Security Officer Unarmed Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Driver in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. This driving post includes operating a vehicle in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store associates, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, potential hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Support a welcoming retail environment by providing directions, maintaining a visible presence, and helping to deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
