Security Officer Unarmed Area Patrol
About the role
Join Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, screen visitors as directed by site procedures, and support an orderly environment for patient care operations and/or facility activities.
- Assist with security-related support during medical emergencies, alarms, evacuations, and/or other critical events while following post orders and site protocols.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
