Security Officer Unarmed Access Control Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Access Control Patrol Security Officer in Pacific Palisades, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, assisting with visitor directions, tenant requests, and reporting unusual conditions.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site management, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as needed.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$23.00 / hour

• Wednesday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thursday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
