Security Officer Unarmed Access Control

About the role

As an Unarmed Access Control Security Officer in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as financial institutions. This part-time position allows you to build a flexible schedule and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, respond to alarms and access-control concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. You will document activities and assist employees, visitors, and customers using communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, and other security-related observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
