About the role
As a Security Officer TWIC Access Driver in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for personnel and visitors. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. This is a driving post. What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Verify identification, credentials, access authorizations, and/or visitor documentation before permitting entry to restricted areas.
- Monitor access points, vehicle gates, and visitor activity; maintain accurate logs, issue visitor badges, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, parking areas, business locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized entry and report unusual conditions.
Minimum Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
