Security Officer - Truck Gate

About the role

This position involves walking a minimum of 3 miles per shift, securing buildings, and monitoring cameras. Candidates must have or be willing to obtain CPR/FA/AED certification and possess a valid Michigan driver’s license with a clean driving record. Security Officer/Guard positions are available full‑time or part‑time and contribute to making clients’ environments safer.

Responsibilities

• Walk at least 3 miles per shift
• Secure buildings and monitor surveillance cameras
• Patrol assigned client sites and observe/report activities and incidents
• Provide customer service and information to client employees and visitors
• Enforce site regulations and directives to preserve order
• Perform frequent sitting, standing, and walking, including climbing stairs, walking on inclines and uneven terrain
• Frequently lift/move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds

Requirements

• Clean driving record
• Valid Michigan driver’s license
• CPR/FA/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to pass drug screen and background check
• Meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for security officers/guards
• Willingness to train and work on all three shifts
• Ability to meet physical demands: frequent sitting/standing/walking, climbing stairs, inclines, uneven terrain; frequent lifting up to 10 lbs; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs

Pay

$17.76 per hour

Schedule

Friday: 10:30 pm – 8:00 am; Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 pm – 8:00 am (averaging 33.5 hours per week)
