Job Description

As a Security Officer - Transit Corporate Building Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional atmosphere through strong customer service and communication.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, public areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and assist with verifying visitor, employee, and/or contractor credentials in accordance with site protocols for government facilities.
• Support daily operations by observing for unusual conditions, assisting with directional information, and communicating with site contacts regarding security-related matters and/or operational concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
