Security Officer - Swing Shift

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Observer in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of facilities, operational areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site procedures.
• Document patrol findings, incidents, access concerns, and unusual conditions, and promptly report them to designated personnel.

Requirements

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
