Security Officer Site Presence

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Secaucus, NJ. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate with site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, building perimeter, and other assigned locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assist with entry protocols, and report irregularities.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications as required.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.00 per hour.
