Security Officer - Site Monitor

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced food and beverage location in Columbia, SC, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with integrity, teamwork, and a caring approach while bringing an agile, reliable, and innovative mindset to every shift.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production, warehouse, shipping, receiving, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
- Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or deliveries to help support authorized entry and orderly movement throughout the location.
- Observe facility conditions and report spills, damaged doors, lighting issues, and/or other unusual conditions that could affect operations or require follow-up.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
