Security Officer- Shipping Warehouse Screener

About the role

As a Security Officer Screening Coordinator in Kenner, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. You will support a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns while providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or shipments entering designated areas in accordance with applicable procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, documentation, and authorized entry requirements for restricted operational areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, operational spaces, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report irregularities.

Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age (18 for unarmed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer service experience.
• Guard card or license.
• Access control and badge experience.

Pay

$15.24 / hour

Schedule

• Monday: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Saturday: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sunday: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
