Security Officer - Shipping Center Full Time

About the Role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Brooklyn, NY, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, teamwork-driven, and integrity-focused values.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking lots, building entrances, trailer yards, and the facility perimeter, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and help verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation related to security-related activities.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
