Security Officer Security Screening Representative

About the role

As a Security Officer Security Screening Representative in McDonough, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Screener in a busy retail location, you will help monitor access points, observe activity, and support security-related operations while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will remain visible, help to deter incidents, and assist with routine screening tasks that support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response actions appropriate to the location.
• Screen visitors, team members, and/or vendors entering the location, verify credentials or permissions as required, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with management and/or emergency personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the sales floor, entry points, stock areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Support retail operations by monitoring high-traffic areas, assisting with crowd management, and following post orders related to loss prevention awareness and customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay & Schedule

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
