Security Officer - Security - Part-Time - Night Shift Including Holidays and Rotating Weekends
About the role
The Security Officer will provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and employees. This is a part-time night shift position 11:00pm-7:00am, including holidays and rotating weekends located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and employees.
- Perform all duties assigned consistent with New York Methodist Hospital's commitment to providing quality health care services in a compassionate and humane manner.
Required Criteria
- One year security experience within a hospital or related medical setting.
- Valid driver's license.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of 8 & 16 Hour Security Courses.
- NYS Security License.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 90 days of starting in role and continued BCLS certification required every two years.
- Must be able to write and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and visitors.
- Basic computer literacy.
Preferred Criteria
- Preferred one year security experience within a hospital or related medical setting.

Pay
$23.42-$24.05/Hourly
