The Protective Services Department at Baptist San Marco East is seeking a full-time Security Officer to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Assure the day-to-day safety and security of patients, visitors, and employees by patrolling and monitoring the medical center properties.
- Report any unusual circumstances and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure the protection of individuals from harm by monitoring for safety hazards.
- Provide escort services.
- Respond to unsafe situations.
- Enforce hospital parking regulations.
- Aid individuals with vehicle-related issues.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of law enforcement experience.
- 1-2 years of security officer experience.
- Prior military experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Associate of Science degree preferred.
- Preferred IAHSS Advanced Certification.
- Preferred IAHSS Safety Certification.
- Preferred IAHSS Basic Certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Must pass a level II background check, which includes a detailed fingerprint-based screening for positions of trust that check state (FDLE) and national (FBI) criminal history.
