Security Officer - Safety

About the role

The Safety Management Department is a centralized location for managing a wide variety of programs that provide for the safety and security of St. Patrick Hospital & Health Sciences Center's (SPHHC) patients, visitors, employees and property. Members of the Safety Management Department are responsible for patrolling over 2.2 million square feet of SPHHC property on two separate campuses. The EMT/Safety & Security Officer is the core of the Safety Management Department and has four primary areas of responsibility and multiple collateral responsibilities. Each Officer serves as a valuable resource to SPHHC employees 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Patrol over 2.2 million square feet of hospital property across two campuses
• Serve as a 24/7 safety and security resource for employees, patients, and visitors
• Execute four primary areas of responsibility and multiple collateral duties as an EMT/Safety & Security Officer

Required qualifications

• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association (upon hire)
• Montana PSP Security Guard License – Montana Board of Private Security (within 60 days of hire)
• Montana Emergency Medical Technician License (within 1 year of hire)
• Management of Aggressive Behavior Certification (within 6 months / 180 days of hire)
• Prior typing/keyboard experience required to enter and retrieve data accurately and timely

Preferred qualifications

• Associate's degree
• 2 years of experience in military, law enforcement, or private security

Pay

Base pay range: $18.07 – $27.64 per hour. Additional compensation may be available such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Placement within the range is determined by relevant job experience and other applicable factors.

Full-time, Day shift.
