Security Officer Retail Unarmed

About the Role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Sweep in Canoga Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, entrances, exits, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contact.
• Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with incident response, and communicating professionally with management and local authorities when needed.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay & Schedule

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour
Schedule: Monday 1:00 PM - 7:30 PM, Tuesday 8:30 AM - 7:30 PM, Wednesday 1:00 PM - 7:30 PM, Friday 8:15 AM - 7:45 PM
